Nokia Data Cables

Nokia Handsets are divided into two categories:
1. DCT 3
2. DCT 4

DCT3 Handsets include:
2100, 3210, ,3310, 3330, 3410, 402, 5110, 5210, 5510, 6110, 6150, 6210, 6250, 7110, 8210, 8250, 8850, 8890, 9210, 9210i (probably missed some lol. Technically the 9210 actually falls into a category of its own but its closer to DCT3 than DCT4!)

DCT4 Handsets include:
1100, 2300, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3510, 3510i, 3650, 3660, 5100, 6100, 6220, 6230, 6310, 6310i, 6510, 6600, 6610, 6650, 6800, 6810, 6820,7200, 7210 ,7250, 7250i, 7600, 7700, 7650, 8310, 8910, 8910i, N-GAGE

Different unlock methods/software are required depending on whether your handset is classed as DCT3 or DCT4. For a more detailed list of which Nokia's are DCT3 and DCT4 please look at my software versions section which I update regularly.

NB. US and Canada variants are named very similar names to those above (normally first two numbers are the same and the latter two numbers are different).

For DCT3 handsets you will need the following ps/2 adapters

1. 5110/6110/7110/6210 adapter
2. 3310/3330/3410/2100/5510 adapter
3. 8210/8850/5210 adapter
4. 3210 adapter
5. 9210 adapter (not normally included in bundles)

For DCT4 handsets you will need the following ps/2 adapters

1. 8310/6510 adapter
2. 6310/6310i adapter (same adapter as 5110/6110 etc)
3. 7210/6610/7250/3100/3200 adapter
4. 7650 adapter (sometimes comes with opening tool)
5. 8910 adapter
6. 3510/3510i adapter
7. 3650 adapter
8. 6100 adapter
9. 6800 adapter
10. 5100 adapter
11. 3300 adapter
12 N-Gage adapter
13 6650
14 6600

Mbus or Fbus Data Cables?
When you buy one of these data cable sets you will see sites mention whether their data cable kits are Mbus or M/Fbus. Most unlocking software requires a pure Mbus data connection so generally Mbus is the best choice. M/F bus connection is supported by some unlocking software but generally this type of connection is used for uploading logos and ring tones.
