Archive note: Original October 2011 wording and section order, with spelling and grammar tidied. Descriptions and external links are historical and have not been checked for current availability. Some sections were already empty in the saved original.
Updated Oct 2011 – I have removed old and dead links. I will add some new links soon.
I am always looking for great sites to add to my links section. If you are a webmaster with such a site, then please get in touch and I will add your site if appropriate.
Online Unlock Code Calculators
The links below will allow you to calculate Nokia unlock codes online. This means that if, for some reason, you are unable to download software, you can still calculate unlock codes.
General
The links below are general links to non-commercial GSM sites that offer free information, tutorials and downloads. They are all worth checking out!
GsmSchwartz
http://www.schwantz-i.org/
Schwartz’s site has also been around for a long time. It is updated regularly and contains a comprehensive downloads section for both Nokia and Siemens!
GSM Forums
Forums are a great place to ask questions and find answers to any of your GSM-related questions. You will find that some forums are more friendly and helpful than others. Also, some forums are more hardcore than others, i.e. how knowledgeable the majority of the members are.
GSMCITY (GSM-FORUM)
http://forum.gsmhosting.com
This is probably one of the biggest GSM forums on the net! It’s not really for newbies, but all the major GSM breakthroughs are posted here. Many of the unlock/flashing software authors post here as well. Even the legendary Dejan is a member! Not for the faint-hearted, and don’t expect too much help if you have a basic question!
Nokia DCT 3, DCT 4 & BB5 Flash Files
Nokia flash files can be difficult to find, but I have listed below the best sites to download both DCT3 and DCT4 flash files. I will continue to keep these links updated, as many of these sites go down quickly.
