THE ORIGINAL UNLOCKME TOOL

Find your unlock code

Choose your classic Nokia, then enter its IMEI.

Original models only. Modern reissues are not supported.

The network the phone is locked to, not the SIM you want to use.

Dial *#06# on your Nokia to find it. Example IMEI for testing: 490154203237518. Use your own phone’s IMEI for an unlock code. You can also paste the number here.

How to enter your unlock code

Enter the code on the keypad of the Nokia you want to unlock, exactly as shown in your result, including every #, letter and +. The letters come from the star (*) key.

pPress * quickly 3 times
wPress * quickly 4 times
+Press * quickly 2 times
  1. Get your Nokia ready. Normally, switch it off, remove the SIM card and switch it back on. Some models, including the 6020 and 6230i, need a SIM from a network the phone does not accept.
  2. Start with #. Press the hash # key once.
  3. Add p. Press the star * key quickly 3 times, until p appears.
  4. Add w. Press the star * key quickly 4 times, until w appears.
  5. Add +. Press the star * key quickly 2 times. Your screen should now show #pw+.
  6. Type the long number from your unlock code. These are the digits between the two + signs. Copy them carefully from your result.
  7. Add the second + and the final code number. Press * quickly 2 times again, then enter the small number at the end of your code. For example, a code ending +5# needs the number 5 here. Use the number shown in your own result.
  8. Finish with #. Press # once and wait for the phone’s confirmation message. If it displays an error, stop and read the help below before trying again.

Which phones and networks are supported?

This is the original calculator for the classic DCT3 and DCT4 handsets listed in the form and the seven original UK network choices. It does not support modern smartphones, Lumia, BB5 phones or later reissues such as the 2600 Classic.

A matching name alone does not confirm compatibility: choose the exact original handset model.

What if I get an error or nothing happens?

For “Code Error”, stop and check the model, IMEI and original network. A SIM from another network can help check whether the handset is already unlocked.

“Cannot undo restriction” or “Not allowed” usually means the code-entry attempts are exhausted. Generating more codes will not reset that counter; the handset may need a compatible cable or service tool.

If nothing happens after the final #, your model may require an unaccepted SIM before entering the code. Avoid repeated guesses.

Where is my IMEI sent?

The calculator processes the number on this website to generate your result. This calculator does not add your IMEI to a database or its own log, and sends it in the form body rather than the page address. Your browser, hosting provider and any site-wide services have their own settings.
